Woodward Governor Training - Class Descriptions
All classes are scheduled from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Lunch and refreshments
will be provided. Class rates do not include accommodations or transportation.
We offer customized classes at our location or yours, contact GCS for current rates. Attendees are eligible for CEU credits or Professional Development hours.
Please bring your own laptop and cable accessories to facilitate hands-on training. Wi-Fi is available in our state-of-the-art classrooms.

The Woodward 2301A and the 2301D Load Sharing and Speed Controls are successive generations of the same control. Learn the operation, installation and adjustments of these controls. The class will operate both controls connected to a closed loop test set. |

Woodward Protech GII and the Protech TPS are microprocessor based over speed Safety Device for steam turbines. This class is designed to explain the operation, theory, installation, programming, and maintenance. The hands on portion will include time for programming, adjustments, and troubleshooting techniques.

Woodward 723PLUS control is a configurable control for prime movers. Both the hardware and software will be covered in class. During the course, programming/monitoring with Woodward Watch Window will be done and a closed loop simulation will be available. |
| DECS 200 and DECS 250 Voltage and Excitation Control |

This course starts with the fundamentals on AVR and excitation systems, from wiring diagram moving on to the step-by-step configuring of a DECS200. The class includes hands-on setting up and configuring the two different AVR's and a review of the use of tuning tools. |
