Replace obsolete, cumbersome control system on USCG vessel

Project Overview
This new Engine Control system comprising 828 and EGCP3’s was designed to replace the obsolete 721 controls. The 4 Main Generator sets located on the 1P and 2P bus Isochronously load share with each other, with the ability for one generator at a time to be switched into baseload mode and run at a fixed load for maintenance purposes.
The Aux Generator Set is a standalone unit it will not be interfaced with regard to Load sharing with the main generator sets. It will load share with the MG sets when the SA bus is connected to the SS bus. The 828 Control with remote IO to interface to additional equipment, also interfacing to the EGCP3 which provides the MW and MVAr control.
