Woodward GS series gas fuel metering systems are designed for use on industrial gas turbines in the 200 kW to 30 MW output power range. The assemblies provide reliable, cost effective interfaces between electronic engine control systems and gas turbines used in power generation, compressor, and mechanical drive applications. The GS valves utilize corrosion-resistant, shear-type metering components that are positioned by integral high-torque actuators to assure extended operation in all types of gaseous fuel service.
The GS valves are compatible with natural gas, sour gas, LP gas, methane, propane, butane, and hydrogen.

The 5009LST fault-tolerant control is designed to control large powergeneration steam turbines with up to 16 modulating valves. Non-modulating valves are also positioned and monitored by the control system.
This control is compatible with several turbine applications including tandem compound, cross compound and turbines with or without steam reheat driving utilityparalleled generators.
The 5009LST control scalability makes it is possible to control steam turbines with proportional or integrating actuators/servos. Proportional valve drivers are located in the chassis and external integrating drivers are connected via a redundant communication link.
A laptop computer can be connected to the control’s RS-232 communications port and used to configure and service the 5009LST. These configuration and dynamic settings are set, changed, tuned, and saved using Woodward’s userfriendly Watch Window software program.
This Windows® based PC program allows
users to set and adjust all applicationbased parameters, plus upload and download configurations to and from the control.
The 5009LST can be operated as a stand-alone unit or in conjunction with a plant’s Distributed Control System.
