Anything less than a TurboTwin Starter is a compromise. TDI Air Starters
are designed for ultimate reliability,
durability and long life. Long cranking cycles, contaminated air and improper
maintenance - a starter's worst
enemies - have almost no effect on TDI Air Starters. TDI makes pre-engaged
or inertia engaged starters to fit
many engine and gas turbine applications.
Since 1958, TDI has been a significant player in the design, testing
and manufacturing of Turbine related machinery for the world's most sophisticated
aircraft. So it's no surprise that when TDI engineers put their minds
to designing starters for individual gas turbines, their TurboStarter
motors quickly garnered recognition for their power, reliability and efficiency.
TDI engineers introduced their first industrial gas turbine starter in
1984. Twelve models and hundreds of refinements later, TDI continues to
introduce products that break new ground for power and reliability.
