This class will give you the opportunity to learn more about Woodward 505/505E microprocessor based programmable controls for steam turbines. The class is designed to explain the operation, theory, installation, wiring programming, and maintenance. The hands on portion will include time for programming, adjustments, and troubleshooting techniques on the 505 operated with a closed loop test set.
Description
This class will provide the opportunity to learn more about the Woodward 505/505E steam turbine control. The training is directed toward plant personnel involved in the application, operation, and maintenance of steam turbines and control systems utilizing the 505/505E.
Objectives The goal of this training session is to familiarize operations and maintenance personnel with the installation, programming, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the 505/505E digital steam turbine control. At the conclusion of the training session, the student should be able to install, program, and operate the 505/505E digital steam turbine control. A 505 control will be operated while connected to a closed loop test set simulating a steam turbine.
